I am a Detroit, Michigan-based sound meditation facilitator, professional photographer, son, father, teacher, blogger who has a passion for living, cooking, libations, & reflecting on the little things in life.
My sound meditation practice, Sankofa Mind + Body was conceived while exploring in the Brazilian rainforest where I was introduced to the world of sound healing by indigenous practitioners. It was here that I was ignited with passion through this ancient healing medium! I have traveled with my practice through West Africa, North America, South America, and Europe.
In addition to sound meditation, I am a Hausa tribal chief in Nima-Accra, Ghana where I serve as an African Diaspora ambassador. I am also an award-winning visual artist, and interpreter who has been telling stories through photography for well over 15 years. My work has been featured in the New York, the Los Angeles Times, magazines, billboards, and various other media around the globe.
